Description
Haemulon sexfasciatum reaches 35 cm. Grunt (Haemulidae) East Pacific & Galapagos. Silver-white, six distinct black dorsal bands. Schooling rocky reef by day, dispersed at night. Microphage-benthic. Rocky reef 5-50 m. Little threatened = LC. Easy identification bands. Important ichthyophage regulator nocturnal reef.
