Description

Chromis multilineata reaches 20 cm. Fusiform olive-brown to grey body, characteristic yellow spot on the caudal peduncle, forked white-edged tail. Forms dense midwater schools above Caribbean drop-offs and reefs between 5 and 40 m, feeding on zooplankton. Brown counterpart to the blue Chromis cyanea in mixed schools. Very common on snorkels and first dives.
