Description

Trimma marinae reaches 2 cm. Tiny Indo-Pacific pygmy goby with bright red-orange body with small yellow spots. Lives from 5 to 30 m on coralligenous and in shallow caves of central Indo-Pacific. Recent description (name possibly dedicated to a person named Marine). Very cryptic, photographic reward. Trimma genus has many undescribed species. Super-macro photo subject for purists.
