Description

Elacatinus evelynae reaches 4 cm. Small Caribbean goby with a dark body crossed by a yellow frontal line forming a V on the snout and extending as an electric-blue line along the flank. Active cleaner: sets up cleaning stations on coral heads where much larger fish (groupers, morays) come to have parasites removed. Sometimes enters their open mouths. Caribbean, 2 to 30 m.
