Description

Trimma cana reaches 3 cm. Very small pygmy goby (Gobiidae) Indo-Pacific with silver-translucent body with diffuse spots, extremely small and cryptic. Lives from 5 to 40 m on and under coral and rocky coralligenous. Perches motionless on corals waiting for small planktonic crustaceans. Super-macro photo subject for specialized photographers. Trimma genus has over 100 species worldwide, most under 3 cm.
