Description

Gymnothorax flavimarginatus reaches 1.5 m. Moray (Muraenidae) Indo-Pacific, Galapagos & East Pacific. Brown-olive, characteristic yellow margin dorsal/anal fins. Nocturnal carnivore, reef burrow by day. Rocky & coral reef 2-40 m. Little threatened = LC. Aggressive if provoked. Important ichthyophagous reef regulator.
