Nudibranch with distinctive pale purple to cream mantle covered with characteristic round ocelli rimmed with electric blue, vivid purple to magenta edge, purple rhinophores, white gills. Lives from 5 to 25 m on coral reefs of central and western Indo-Pacific (notably Indonesia, New Caledonia, Australia). Feeds on sponges. Favorite macro photo subject of nudi-spotting dives for spectacular ocellate design.
