Description

Chromodoris quadricolor reaches 6 cm. White body adorned with longitudinal black and orange bands, purple edge, bright-orange gills (dorsal plume) and rhinophores (head antennae). Four iconic colors. Endemic to the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Feeds exclusively on sponges (Negombata magnifica) and sequesters their toxins for defense. Slow and accessible, an unmissable macro subject in Egypt and Sudan.
