Description

Parablennius zvonimiri reaches 7 cm. Small Mediterranean blenny with stocky brown marbled body with some dark vertical bands, discreet plume-like supraorbital tentacles. Lives from 0 to 12 m on coastal rocks and shallow tidepools of Mediterranean. Very territorial and cryptic, perched on exposed rocks. Predator of small invertebrates. Discreet macro photo subject. Species dedicated to Croatian king Zvonimir, discovered in Adriatic Sea.
