Very cryptic small Mediterranean blenny with stocky brown-green marbled body, characteristic long rounded pectoral fins (recalling those of triglid or Triglidae, hence trigloides). Lives from 0 to 5 m in tidepools, cracks and shallow rocky shores of Mediterranean. Very hard to observe, perfect camouflage. Predator of small invertebrates. Macro photo subject for purists, reward of patient observation. Without supraorbital tentacles.
