Holacanthus clarionensis reaches 28 cm. Strict endemic angelfish of Revillagigedo archipelago (Socorro, Clarion, San Benedicto) off Mexico. Orange-brown to pink body with bright yellow forehead and tail, fins edged with yellow and blue lines. Extremely limited geographic distribution. Listed VU by IUCN following aquarium collection pressure. Lives from 3 to 40 m on volcanic rocky reefs. Documented cleaner behavior (juvenile cleaner). Major endemic photo subject, trophy of Socorro liveaboards.
