Plectropomus laevis reaches 1.2 m. Large blue grouper with characteristic white spots. Solitary territorial apex predator. Deep reef habitat, 20-200 m depth. Aggressive carnivore. Indo-Pacific tropical reefs. VU (IUCN) - overfishing.
