Description

Edmundsella pedata (formerly Flabellina pedata) is a small nudibranch of 2 to 4 cm, purple to violet body with long tubular cerata tipped in vivid yellow-orange. Feeds exclusively on hydroids, recycling their stinging cells into its cerata. Common in spring in the Mediterranean and European Atlantic, from 1 to 40 m. A highly appreciated macro subject.
