Carcharhinus albimarginatus reaches 3 m. Silver-grey fusiform body with distinctive white borders on all fins (dorsal, pectoral, pelvic, caudal), hence silvertip. More massive and imposing than grey reef sharks. Solitary or small-group predator on Indo-Pacific drop-offs and pinnacles from 1 to 800 m. Can be curious and approach divers. IUCN Vulnerable. Sightings in Maldives, Fiji, Galapagos.
