Description

Thuridilla hopei is a small sacoglossan of 1 to 3 cm, Mediterranean endemic. Black body edged with a thin iridescent electric-blue line, then vivid orange, then sky blue: a spectacular color pattern. Feeds on green algae and retains their chloroplasts. Very common in small caves and rocky crevices between 0 and 30 m. A must-have macro subject.
