Description

Stathmonotus stahli reaches 8 cm. Small blenny with very elongated almost eel-like body, beige-green coloration mottled brown according to environment, masking by coralligenous. Short supra-orbital cirri. Lives from 1 to 15 m among dead coralligenous, sponges and encrusted substrates of Caribbean coral reefs. Very cryptic, hard to observe. Labrisomidae family. Discreet macro photo subject.
