Description

Sectator ocyurus reaches 25 cm. Damselfish (Pomacentridae) endemic East Pacific & Galapagos. Pale gray-yellow dark, compact body. Dense schools around corals. Zooplanktivore, less territorial (vs Stegastes). Coral reef 3-35 m. Little threatened = LC. Subtly colored, chaotic group. Less known popularity vs Chromis/Abudefduf.
