Scyllarides latus reaches 40 cm. Emblematic slipper lobster (Scyllaridae) Mediterranean, Eastern Atlantic. Rust-brown carapace, flattened antennae. Flattened body for crevices. Rocky-sandy coastal inhabitant 10-100 m. Nocturnal cryptic-powerful. Robust predator of crustaceans, mollusks. Artisanal fishing = LC. Observable in Mediterranean coastal diving.
