Paracirrhites hemistictus reaches 28 cm. Hawkfish (Cirrhitidae) Indo-Pacific. Red-white alternating stripes, blue spots on head. Extremely territorial on branching corals. Ichthyophage & crustacivore. Coral & rocky reef 3-60 m. Little threatened = LC. Aggressive to diver if territory approach rapid.
