Description
Panulirus ornatus reaches 45 cm. Spiny lobster Indo-Pacific (Palinuridae). Flamboyant orange to red, very brilliant spines and antennae. Coral reef inhabitant 5-50 m. Nocturnal solitary. Generalist predator of small crustaceans, mollusks. Light fishing = LC. Very beautiful. Observable on Indo-Pacific tropical reefs.
