Slender pelagic shark (140-200 cm) blue-black above, white below. Abnormally long pectoral and pelvic fins (diagnostic). Pelagic habitat (80-350 m) Atlantic, Pacific, Indian Ocean. Ultra-fast swimmer, migratory. Aggressive solitary predator. Conservation: vulnerable, deep-sea fishing. Diving: very rare pelagic.
