Description

Halichoeres marginatus reaches 8-13 cm. Pale yellow-orange body with characteristic black edge. Indo-Pacific at 3-45 m. Very active and mobile, jerky swimming. Frequently digs sand searching for small prey. Difficult to approach. Common but inconspicuous to average divers.
