Description

Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis reaches 14 cm. Wrasse (Labridae) endemic to Red Sea. Males: orange-red body, crimson ventral, red dorsal-anal fins. Females/juveniles: yellow-orange. Very fast swimmers, loose schools. Zooplanktivorous. Deep reefs 15-60 m. Spectacular sexual dimorphism. No threats = LC. Highly photogenic in technical diving.
