Description
Sargassum horneri reaches 1.5 m. Asian benthic brown alga, east Asian coasts (Japan, China, Korea). Attached in shallow rocky coastal zones. Dense branched morphology. Little introduction to West unlike S. muticum. Least threatened = LC. Ecologically important native Asian species west Pacific coasts.
