Description
Jania rubens reaches 10 cm. Tiny highly segmented red-pink coralline alga (looks like pearl chain). Atlantic & Mediterranean coasts (0-30 m). Very common on rocks. Least threatened = LC. Important cryptic species rocky coastal structure.
