Description
Corallina officinalis reaches 15 cm. Very common coralline red alga temperate Atlantic & Mediterranean coasts. Characterized segmented structure (articles and sheaths) pale pink. Calcified, brittle to touch. Rocky intertidal habitat (0-30 m). Very abundant. Least threatened = LC. Symbol species temperate Mediterranean French rocky coasts.
