Description

Cyerce elegans reaches 3 cm. Small sacoglossan mollusk (Caliphyllidae) Indo-Pacific with cream-white body with wavy yellow-orange to pink-white foliaceous cerata arranged in two lateral rows (hence elegans). More discreet colors than C. nigricans but similar dancing cerata behavior. Lives from 5 to 30 m on green algae of coral reefs of central Indo-Pacific. Sap-sucker. Super-macro photo subject for sacoglossan purists.
