Description

Cryptodendrum adhaesivum reaches 40 cm diameter. Anemone with very flat and wide oral disc with short digitated tentacles forming zones of different colors and textures by concentric sectors (peripheral, medial, central): beige, green, pink, purple, crimson, gray patchwork (hence pizza). Very adherent short tentacles. Lives from 1 to 30 m on coral reefs of entire Indo-Pacific. Listed LC. Host of A. clarkii exclusively. Graphic macro photo subject for its mosaic texture and colors.
