Description

Acropora millepora forms branching colonies 20 cm to 1 m in bush or table shapes. Extremely variable and often fluorescent colors: green, blue, pink, purple, yellow. Iconic reef-builder of the Great Barrier Reef and the tropical Indo-Pacific. Model species in coral genomics and bleaching research. Particularly vulnerable to ocean warming, IUCN Near Threatened.
