Description
Holacanthus tricolor atteint 35 cm. Contraste saisissant entre la tête et l'avant jaune vif et le corps noir profond. Juvéniles très différents : jaunes à tache bleue cerclée de noir. Territorial sur les récifs de 3 à 92 m, se nourrit principalement d'éponges. Endémique de l'Atlantique occidental tropical (Caraïbes, Brésil). Sujet photo spectaculaire, contraste facile à capter.
