Stichodactyla haddoni reaches 80 cm diameter. Carpet-shaped anemone with short digitiform tentacles (1 cm) stockier than S. gigantea, forming dense green-beige, brown-pink or purple carpet. Bulging oral disc. Foot buried in sand, only disc with tentacles visible. Lives from 1 to 40 m on sands adjacent to coral reefs of entire Indo-Pacific. Listed LC. Primary host of A. clarkii, A. polymnus (for A. polymnus it's exclusive anemone). Less spectacular photo subject than S. gigantea but often with retinue of commensal shrimp.
