Description

Euphyllia glabrescens reaches 80 cm colonies. Particular hard coral with coral skeleton but very large polyps with elongated straight fluorescent green-yellow to brown tentacles, tips often pink-purple forming like flaming torches in current. Lives from 3 to 35 m on coral reef slopes of Indo-Pacific. Listed NT by IUCN following intense aquarium trade. Spectacular photo and video appearance. Differentiated from E. paradivisa (more lobed). Highly sought aquarium subject.
